Two styles of Hard Yakka 3056 work boots (pictured) are being recalled due to concerns that their safety toe caps may present a crushing hazard to the toes as they do not meet Australian Standards.
The AS/NZS 2210.3 impact test standard requires 200 joules impact resistance for occupational protective footwear.
The recall notice states that “If a person experiences a heavy item falling on the top of the boot, it may pose a crushing hazard to the toes.”
The boots were sold nationally between 30 September 2015 and 9 May 2016 at a variety of safety and workwear stores.
